Back in the 1960s, communication with our suppliers was quite the adventure. With no emails or faxes, every letter to our Chinese partners was a leap of faith. We’d send messages in English and eagerly await replies which always arrived in Chinese.
One day, our suppliers planned to visit the UK. Mr. Kohli Sr. and Mr. Chadha went to Bradford Exchange station to greet them. But when they introduced themselves, the delegation hesitated.
